Durban Christian Centre and the Hope Centre’s Media Launch of the Abstinence Walk 2003

True Love Waits was invited by the Durban Christian Centre and the Hope Clinic in Durban to join the media launch for this year’s Abstinence Walk which will take place on 8 – 13 June 2003. The proposed route for the Walk will be from Durban to Empangeni.

The media launch began with a march from Berea to the Durban City Hall, where special representatives from the KZN Health Department, Thekwini Council and MTN voiced their support for the abstinence movement and the Thekwini mayor pledged to walk a distance with this year’s walkers. TLW was also given an opportunity to speak to the 300+ crowd that braved the scorching sun to support the walk. A gospel choir from Stokholm was enthusiastically cheered and in the evening the DCC hosted a free Gospel Concert at the Berea Centre.
