ABSTINENCE
Abstinence is more than just not doing something. Saving sex is caring about your future spouse. Avoiding drugs is caring about your body and the health of your future children. Abstaining is more than just restraining an impulse. It requires a conscious effort to care for yourself and others by making appropriate choices. Appropriate choices are legal, ethical, moral and considerate of others. They help achieve long and short-term goals. Saying no to illicit use of drugs and to sexual involvement until the time is right is necessary for the prevention of the spread of HIV.Sexual expression is part of an adult fulfilling marriage relationship. In a mutually (both partners) faithful (committed for life) monogamous relationship (both people involved with only their partner) the possible consequences of sex are limited to pregnancy. This kind of relationship eliminates concerns about any sexually transmitted diseases. For teens, sex is risky behaviour.

Point form recent email sent to TLW:
I think the real joy of abstanence is that it means that when we do get married, sex will actually mean something. You will have given your wife/husband the most intamate experrience of yourself that no other person has even been able to lay claim to, and never will. I mean, you realy can't get any closer after sex, there's just no where else to go.
