Basic Information on the International TLW Display in Athens, Greece

Who: Christian students from around the world who send in their signed TLW commitment cards and/or who are able to attend the Summer Olympics in Athens.

What: An international display of TLW commitment cards from all over the world, set up during the 2004 Summer Olympics. Also, churches around the world are invited to commemorate that day in their churches.

When: The display will be featured on Aug. 22, 2004. Churches may also want to coordinate and participate in regional and local events that will take place on that date and leading up to the display. Where: The display will be at the Summer Olympics in Athens, but other celebrations will take place all over the world as students and their churches celebrate the commitment to biblical sexual purity.

Why: In the 10th year anniversary of True Love Waits (2004), young people who have made the TLW commitment will have the chance to be part of a global stand for purity.

How: Send your commitment cards (order now) to the address below. If you aren't using the TLW Athens Commitment Cards, we ask that signed pledges be on cards approximately 8 centimeters tall and 12 centimeters wide (3 inches by 5 inches). Mail signed commitment cards to:

Cards must be sent by FedEx, UPS, or DHL because the Athens post office will not deliver to this address. Cards need to arrive in Athens by August 7, 2004, to be included in the display.

We understand that shipping these packages of cards will be more costly than regular mail, but we are asking youth ministers, group leaders, parents to make the sacrifice or be creative (join with other groups sending cards) to get the cards to Athens for their students to be represented at this international event.
